Private Thomas Henderson

 

The background of this North Irish Horseman is not known at present.

Thomas Henderson enlisted in tthe North Irish Horse on 8 or 9 September 1914 (No.1179 – later Corps of Hussars No.71269). On 20 January 1915 he embarked for France with a reinforcement draft for A and C Squadrons.

Henderson remained with the regiment throughout the war, though how much of that time he spent in France and Belgium and how much at the Antrim depot is not known at present.

On 10 February 1919 he was demobilised and transferred to Class Z, Army Reserve.
